The capital city of The Islands of The Bahamas is found on 21-mile-long New Providence, our 11th largest island. The fine harbor of Nassau is protected by tiny Paradise Island for a three-mile stretch.

Once known as Hog Island, Paradise Island is 685 acres of pure bliss connected to Nassau by two 600-foot bridges. In the 1960's Huntington Hartford -- heir to the A&P supermarket fortune -- bought Hog Island which was used primarily for farming, and developed it into the 685 acre Paradise Island. More recent investors have included Merv Griffin and Sol Kerzner who developed Atlantis. The island was developed almost exclusively to delight and accommodate visitors, with resorts, hotels, restaurants, shops, a golf course, an aquarium, and a casino rounding out the amenities.

Paradise Island is world renowned for white sandy beaches, clear turquoise waters, a mild tropical climate, and a luxurious lifestyle. It is home to some of the world's most sought-after real estate-properties owned by Bahamians and international investors alike.
